Hi! I'm Fiona, founder of Golden Slumber Knits! Thanks so much for visiting my site and for choosing a small business. Everything is made, by hand, by me, at home in Perthshire, with plenty of care and a lot of love. I was taught to knit by my Mother as a child and it is a habit and craft I have returned to - often at the harder and more turbulent times of life. Golden Slumber Knits is in fact a wee nod to the lullaby she sang to me as a child; "Golden Slumbers". It reflects that safe and cosy feeling you have as a child and hope to bring to your own family. Knitting has been good for my soul and has kept me going since my diagnosis of ME and Fibromyalgia in 2022. It is the definition of slow fashion; as I have been forced to adapt to a chronic illness that slows down every aspect of life. The joy has been creating garments that stand the test of time—pieces that stay stylish and special long after passing fads have come and gone.
